Accenture, Aegon and WEConnect International are joining forces to bring you an interesting and inspiring afternoon that will definitely help you on your entrepreneurial journey to grow your business and to take care of your future!
Women and Retirement
For many years, Aegon and its sister organisation, the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, have been conducting research to help educate the public about the latest issues and trends surrounding saving and planning for a financially secure retirement. Preparing for retirement is an important topic for everyone and it’s an issue that entrepreneurs and the self-employed have to think about as they build their business.
Catherine Collinson (left), President of the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, will share with you the results of Aegon’s recent study: Women; balancing family, career and financial security. Catherine's slides can be found here. Vera Hek-Weghorst (right) from Aegon’s advisory group, Adfis, and will talk more specifically about the Dutch pension market and the options open to entrepreneurs compared to people working for companies. Vera's slides can be found here.
After previous WEConnect International events in the Netherlands, we asked what you would like to see at future meetings. Hearing from other (successful) entrepreneurs was top of your list. So for the second part of the afternoon, we have organised a panel discussion with successful Dutch female entrepreneurs who have a fantastic track record of supporting others in becoming successful.
The panel members will be Annemarie van Gaal, Mariëlle van der Keur and Heleen van Oord:

Mariëlle van der Keur:

Tender Services Group helps and supports entrepreneurs in doing business with government clients. Mariëlle’s specialty is (European) tenders. She also functions as regional ambassador in The Hague for MKB Nederland. Mariëlle’s expertise and experience on working with large clients, procurement processes and great track record of excellent entrepreneurship makes her a valuable source of knowledge.
Heleen van Oord:
Dutch business woman of the year 2013, Heleen van Oord owns and runs the very successful international digital marketing company DQ&A Media Group and is co-founder and partner in investment group Peak Capital.
