Crowberry Consulting Ltd, a WEConnect International certified women's business enterprise and Chorley-based environment, ethics and energy management consultancy, has recently recruited two new interns via Lancaster University to support continued growth of the business.

Lauren Hart BA joins the company as a Sustainability Executive and Cameron Wilson joins as a Legal Executive. Both Lauren and Cameron are studying at Lancaster University for a MSc in Environmental Management and LLB in Law respectively.

Becky Toal, Crowberry Consulting MD, said:

“We have worked with Lancaster University to provide quality paid internships since 2008 and are consistently impressed with the high quality of the students available to us. We were particularly pleased this year to have received many applications for both roles in the business. The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences programme provide us with a 380 hour internship part funded by Santander. The University has been very helpful with the recruitment providing interview rooms and on-site support throughout the process. I would highly recommend Lancaster University’s Careers Department to any local business looking for additional graduate and post graduate resources.”

Lucy Hutchinson, Lancaster University FASS Internships Officer, said:

“It is our pleasure and privilege to work with Crowberry Consulting Ltd for the 11th year running to offer a unique and enriching programme of work experience for our bright and enthusiastic students. Both Lauren and Cameron worked incredibly hard to secure their positions working with Becky Toal and her brilliant team; we wish our students all the success they deserve, and want to express our thanks to the Crowberry Consulting team for their excellent support in our students professional development.”

Pam Pickles, Student Employability Manager, Lancaster University, said:

“Lancaster University has a strong track record in working with and supporting small businesses, and we would be more than happy to hear from any company interested in working with us.”

Lauren Hart will be supporting the business with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 development (environmental and energy management standards), whilst Cameron Wilson will be focussed on supporting the creation of compliance (legal) registers and compliance audits to energy, environmental and ethical issues for their customer base.
