Founders4Schools Milestones and Achievements

Founders4Schools.jpg

Founders4Schools was founded in 2011 by Sherry Coutu CBE, who was one of our speakers at our WEConnect International Europe conference last November. The organisation aims to inspire students and prepare them for the rapidly changing world of work and they do this by enabling educators to invite business leaders for encounters with their students.

During 2018, they have achieved some phenomenal milestones:
• Brokered more than 800,000 Student-Employer Encounters
• Brokered requests from educators for more than 260,000 students to meet
business leaders from their community in their classroom
• Supported business people to volunteer more than 12,000 hours of their time

You can find live updates on their reach and impact on their Insight Report Pages. One of the most important features of the Founders4Schools platform, these provide important information for their users - students, teachers, parents, business leaders and local government, amongst others, to monitor careers education in schools over time and against Gatsby Benchmarks.

This means they have everything they need to manage careers guidance and work
experience encounters and to track how successful they are in preparing young
people for their future, compared to other parts of the region or the country.

In Scotland, 200 of every 1000 pupils aged 6-18 have benefited from F4S!

50% of students in Midlothian have all had a student employer encounter through their platform in the last 90 days.
